Open the App Store, grab the player

Open App Store. Search 'GSE Smart IPTV' and tap Get. Free. The landscape layout on iPad is the best of any IPTV player.

Tip: Prefer something simpler? Search 'IPTV Smarters' instead. Both work — GSE is prettier on iPad, Smarters is faster to set up.

Open the app

Tap Allow on the prompts. Pick 'Xtream Codes API' as the playlist type. Skip the M3U URL option.

Paste the login we sent you

Give the playlist any name ('My IPTV' is fine). Long-press and paste the Server URL, Username and Password from our welcome message. Hit Add.

Tip: Keep our welcome email open in Split View on the same iPad — drag from the dock to put both side by side. Makes the paste a one-tap job.

Let it sync

The app downloads your channels, films and TV guide. Takes 15 to 30 seconds. Keep the app open until it finishes.

Tap a channel — you are streaming

Open Live TV, pick any channel, tap to play. Rotate landscape for full screen. Long-press a channel to favourite. Pinch to scrub the EPG.

Tip: Want it on the big TV? Swipe into Control Centre, tap AirPlay, pick your Apple TV. Or plug a USB-C to HDMI adapter (Apple-certified — the cheap ones break HDCP) for wired.

How to Optimize for Zero Buffering

Most guides stop at installation. We want you watching with zero stutter. Here is how to dial in your setup:

  • Increase Buffer Size

    If your streaming app allows it (Settings > General > Buffer Size), change it from "Small/Normal" to "Large" or "5 Seconds". This prevents micro-stutters during live matches by pre-loading more of the video data.

  • Use Hardware Decoding (HW+)

    Always ensure the video player settings are set to Hardware (HW) Decoder rather than Software (SW). This offloads the heavy video rendering directly to the device's graphics chip for crystal clear 4K.

Troubleshooting FAQ

Some IPTV apps default to iPhone mode. Check the App Store page says 'Designed for iPad' — GSE Smart IPTV and IPTV Smarters both have proper iPad layouts. If it is still tiny, your Display Zoom is set high — Settings, Display and Brightness, switch to Standard.

Move closer to the router or jump on the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band — much faster at short range. Close any background apps eating bandwidth. If you are on a Wi-Fi 6 router, the iPad will pick that up automatically. Restart the router if it has been on for weeks.

Use an Apple-certified USB-C to HDMI adapter (or Lightning to HDMI on older iPads). The cheap unbranded ones do not handle HDCP and you will get a black screen. Try a different HDMI port. If it still will not work, AirPlay to an Apple TV is the workaround.

iPadOS auto-capitalises and sometimes adds a space. Re-paste the server URL, username and password from our message — copy-paste, never type. Use Split View to see both the email and the IPTV app at once. If still failing, message us on WhatsApp.

Both devices need the same Wi-Fi network. Restart both. If the iPad locks the screen, AirPlay drops — go to Settings, Display and Brightness, Auto-Lock, set to Never while you watch. Or plug the iPad into mains so it never sleeps.
